Halifax - Canada
Halifax is a modern city with a large natural harbour and is one of Canada’s main ports. Visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic to understand its seafaring past, where exhibits include a Titanic display with wooden artefacts retrieved from the wreckage. For more history and great views climb the Citadel Hill where you can see the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, which includes a star shaped fort built by the British in 1861.

Take some time to wander around downtown Halifax, a stroll along the waterfront is a must, where you will find plazas, green open spaces, street cafes, restaurants and lively bars.

Once you leave Halifax the rugged Atlantic coastline of Nova Scotia is yours to discover. There are over 4600 miles of coastline and 100 provincial parks so you will never be short of things to do and see
