Whitehorse - Canada
Whitehorse is the capital of the Yukon, an unspoilt region in the north west of Canada. The most popular attraction in Whitehorse is the restored SS Klondike which is berthed on the Yukon river and is open for visitors. To discover the events and people that have shaped this fascinating city and its surrounding area visit the McBride Museum which has many exhibits, including displays devoted to the gold rush era.

When you leave Whitehorse to discover the rest of the Yukon you will find that the area really is a "get away from it all" travellers dream. The scenery is dramatic, it has some of Canada’s highest mountains, ice fields and is a wildlife paradise. You can also visit Dawson City which sprang up during the Klondike gold rush – there are even sites where you can still pan for gold
